Green Management and Sustainability - CSR Policy
Blunsdon House Hotel is committed to promoting sustainability. Concern for the environment, community and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to our professional activities and the management of the organisation.
We aim to follow and to promote “best practice” within the industry, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our clients and partners to do the same.
Unlike some competitors we do not pay “lip service” to our environmental responsibility or flood our customers with “Green Wash”.
In order to objectively manage and appraise our environmental agenda the hotel has joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS). Blunsdon House hotel was recently assessed by the GTBS on over 200 individual “Green” criteria and awarded a prestigious GOLD award, the highest standard available. We are the first hotel in Wiltshire to achieve this exceptional award and one of only a handful of larger four star properties in the country to attain it.
We believe actions speak louder than words. That’s why we have made a considerable investment in emerging green technology, training and resources.
Our Corporate social responsibility rationale (how we operate), report (what we have done) and sustainability policy (what we are planning) are available on this page for your information.
