We are a 4* privately owned Hotel on the outskirts of Swindon with 108 bedrooms, 3 Bars, 2 Restaurants. Extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities, Leisure Club with Golf Course & Beauty Salon. Duty Manager


Main Duties include:
To be fully aware of Hotel facilities and ensure the smooth running of the hotel throughout your shift
Meet & Greet our Conference Organisers and ensure all details for the day are run through. Make adjustments as required liasing with Sales dept.
To have a thorough knowledge of Conference/Banqueting room layouts and capacities,
To have full knowledge of the operation and installation of Audio Visual equipment
Ensure all rooms are set and serviced to the required standards
Plan and allocate tasks to team members ensuring all staff are fully utilised
Responsibilities include the adherence of weekly and daily cleaning schedules
Assist with the Training of all new staff
To have knowledge of and therefore comply with the Health & Safety and Fire procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook and Company Policies
To be responsible for the correct accounting of monies received from residents and chance customers, and to ensure that all residents sign their bills on departure
To ensure the maximum usage of the Restaurants/ bars to obtain maximum food and drink sales
To anticipate customer needs wherever possible, and to react to these to enhance customer satisfaction
To be fully conversant with facilities, services and promotions offered by the hotel, and where possible to pass this information on to the guest whenever the opportunity arises
To action and implement a preventative maintenance policy for areas of responsibility
To report any maintenance faults, and to follow up to ensure that they are properly repaired to the company standard
To have a thorough knowledge of the Weights & Measures Act, Licensing Laws and Food Hygiene Regulations
To ensure the team are punctual, smart, correctly uniformed, and are polite, courteous and helpful to guests at all times
To take responsibility, along with fire marshals if applicable, for hotel evacuation should the fire alarm go off during your shift
To be aware of, and responsible for, the security of the hotel and guests property
To check departmental rotas to ensure that staffing levels are in accordance with the agreed budget
To ensure effective communication
To deal with all employee relations issues professionally and legally
To ensure information given is in accordance with legislative and company policy and procedure
To ensure regular and effective communication within the team and with other departments
To fill out and distribute the daily hand over including the maintenance tracker system
Report directly to the Operations Manager/Assistant Operations Manager
Hours of Work - Working 5 days over 7, 7am - 3pm/3pm - Finish on a rota basis as business dictates.

Chef de Partie


We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team to work in our busy kitchens including cooking on our Josper Chargrill oven.

We are looking for someone with flair and enthusiasm with the ability to work under pressure. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7, straight shifts. Live-in available.
